TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is an internationally recognized English language proficiency test for non-native English speakers who wish to study or work in English-speaking environments.
The most common format is the TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test), which evaluates four key academic English skills:
- Reading – understanding academic texts
- Listening – understanding lectures and conversations
- Speaking – expressing ideas clearly in spoken English
- Writing – presenting and supporting ideas in written English
TOEFL is accepted by 11,500+ institutions worldwide and is also recognized in Malaysia as proof of English proficiency for international students to meet the requirements set by MQA.
