Northern Kuala Lumpur International College, referred to as NKL (formerly known as Pintar College), was established in 2015 by Dr Jimmy Lim Siau Shiong, the Malaysia National Outstanding Educator. Founded in the the capital of Malaysia, NKL offers a broad range of courses including Accounting, Management, Marketing, Early Childhood Education, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Real Estate Management.

The history of NKL can be traced back to the international professional qualifications offered by Pintar College, such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in 2002. At the beginning of its establishment, the purpose was to provide Malaysians with the most competitive international qualification certificates.

Due to the goal of pursuing high-quality education for many years, the NKL students were among the top performers in LCCI from over than 200 countries across the globe. At the same time, NKL has been awarded as the “ACCA Gold Status Learning Partner” in offering the best education to the public.

Invited by the Ministry of Education to thirteen states and three federal territories in Malaysia, NKL is also responsible for the improvement of the “teaching ability as well as comprehensive quality and level” of all secondary school teachers in Malaysia. NKL has worked with the Ministry and Education Offices with many initiatives to realize the national teachers’ improvement in Malaysia officially.

In 2021, the high school accounting, business and economics exercise books compiled by NKL broke the Malaysian publication record. As they entered two “Malaysian Book of Records”, founded by former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir.

In order to promote the in-depth cooperation between Malaysian and international education, NKL has obtained the KDN approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia for recruiting international students from other countries and at the same time launching the “international exchange student” program overseas.

In 2022, Pintar College officially changed its name to “Northern Kuala Lumpur International College, NKLIC”. All courses offered by the Northern Kuala Lumpur International College are approved by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).
