MICRO-CREDENTIAL (MC) PROGRAMME.
It is a short, flexible course designed to develop specific skills or competencies relevant to various fields of study. It supports professional development and lifelong learning, allowing learners to take individual modules that can later be stacked toward a full Diploma qualification.
Ideal for school leavers, working adults, and lifelong learners, micro-credentials offer accessible, industry-relevant learning aligned with current academic and career needs. Learners can enrol in 1 to 6 subjects per semester, depending on availability and learning goals.
- Open to individuals aged 17 and above
- Assessment-based evaluation for each subject Self-paced learning
- HRD Corp claimable, subject to eligibility
- Transcript issued every semester, with a statement of completion for each subject
- Credits earned are stackable and transferable toward a full Diploma qualification.
Students who do not meet the entry requirement may begin with Micro-Credential and apply for the APEL.A test once they meet the age requirement. Upon successfully passing the APEL.A test, students can transition from the Micro-Credentials pathway into the Diploma programme.
APEL.A TEST
APEL.A is an initiative by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) that offers individuals the opportunity to gain admission into Diploma programmes based on prior experiential learning. It recognises knowledge and skills acquired through work experience, informal training, or life experiences, even if the individual lacks formal academic qualifications. APEL.A provides a flexible and inclusive pathway to higher education, supporting lifelong learning and personal development.

Minimum age: 20 years old
Relevant work or life experience
Assessment required (Portfolio and Aptitude Test)
