Project Description

DIPLOMA OF TRADITIONAL CHIENESE MEDICINE (ACUPUNCTURE)

Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine that can be traced back at least 2,500 years. The general theory of acupuncture is based on the premise that there are patterns of energy flow (Qi) through the body that are essential for health. Acupuncture emphasises on non-medication treatment for a variety of ailments and has proven to be a unique, quick, effective, and safe method of therapy that either individually, or used in combination with herbal or modern medicine, providing holistic care and alleviate symptoms for patients.

The programme starts with basic sciences that cover across the spectrum of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Students will be trained in Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine principles, Herbal Medicine, and an overview on Western Internal Medicine. It focuses on acupuncture skills and techniques and ends with an extensive hands-on Clinical Training. The curriculum uniquely combines both basic knowledge of modern medicine with traditional Chinese Medicine.
