4th May 2023 – ACCA Maritime South-East Asia Portfolio Head, Andrew Lim and Northern Kuala Lumpur International College ( NKLIC) President Founder, Dr Jimmy Lim, represented their respective organisations and signed a memorandum of understanding.
Witnessing the signing were NKLIC Vice-President, Dr Jacky Zhang, Chief Executive Officer, Mdm Vicky Chua Chek Yea, and ACCA Educational Relationships Lead, Mr Ang Wen How. In his speech, Mr Andrew said that due to NKLIC’s excellent performance in accounting and business education, it has already been awarded the “ Gold Learning Partner” status from ACCA.
ACCA will also provide registration fee discounts to accounting students who enrolled students who enrolled at NKLIC, where NKLIC is an “Approved Learning Provider” and a famous examination centre for ACCA candidates.
In the past two years, NKLIC has broken the Malaysian publishing record with the support of ACCA by compiling SPM high school accounting, business and economics textbooks, which have entered into The Malaysia Book of Records.
NKLIC has also been appointed as a strategic partner by the Education Ministry to conduct special diploma training classes and teacher training programmes. This is also one of its corporate social activities. At the event, certificates were also presented to NKLIC students who completed the student exchange programme with Taishan University in China.
The YMM Segambut and Raja Chulan branches also announced the appointment of Dr Jimmy as their consultant. Dr. Jimmy revealed that NKLIC will attend the “One Belt, One Road” education cooperation forum in China this month. NKLIC will also visit 20 universities in China to sign memorandums of cooperation, paving the way for NKLIC students to pursue further studies in China after graduation.
NKLIC offers courses in accounting, business, marketing, early childhood education, traditional Chinese medicine, real estate management, hairdressing, make-up, manicures and more—covering diplomas, advanced diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, master’s and doctoral levels.
